The Soft Cell track is actually a cover version. Original version of Tainted Love is by Gloria Jones (soul singer, used to go out with Marc Bolan). Soft Cell's version merged it with The Supreme's 'Where Did Our Love Go' hence the songs both appearing on The Pussycat Dolls album. PCD and Marc Almond actually performed the song together - I think it was at last years Fashion Rocks.. The original Gloria Jones track is brilliant and worth checking out - bit of a Northern Soul classic.. | |
