I disagree. I think he needs to get his life in order before worrying about a big comeback.

He has too many issues that need to be dealt with.Forget about a new album and a comeback...that can wait.

Quite frankly I don't think MJ needs to release another album. Too much damaged has been done and besides his been around since he was about 10. He is probably fed up of the whole music industry by now..

You know,I totally agree with you.I think retirement wouldn't be a bad idea at all. He's been in the spotlight for so many years (since he was what...9 years old?) and that's got to take a toll on a person.Maybe it would do him a world of good to get out of the spotlight and try to live a "normal" life for once.As an artist,he has already accomplished so much.Plus,I don't think he is really "inspired" anymore. He doesn't like to tour and it takes him YEARS to make an album. Why go through all that again? Retire, sell Neverland, get away from the madness of L.A.,and begin to enjoy life.He seems bitter, angry and totally unhappy with the music business, anyway.

Retirement would be great but for some reason I bet he thinks if he did it now it's sorta forced or the result of the trial. I can imagine that he wants to do it on his term which would be one last hoorah and the big 'this is my last album/tour' fan fare. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

Yeah, his ego wouldn't allow him to retire. He wants to prove that he is still the "King Of Pop".

Amen I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

On top of that, he probably doesn't even know what life is like without the music industry. Like what was said before, it's been his life since he was a child. It's not easy to leave something that's been a part of you for so many years if not all of your life. Plus, look at him and I'm not saying this to be funny. Even if he wanted to be normal, his face wouldn't let him because of all the work he's done to it. Sad to say, it may be damned if he does and damned if he doesn't but it's all based on the choices he's made in his life. If he were to make another album, I would love to see him make a kickass album again where he doesn't have to prove that he's still the "kinkg of pop". Just make an album that works for him but as long as he still has that "Thriller" mentallity, the albums, if he makes another one, will still be shit. All of this never should have happened. In the end, I hope this man finds peace. I really do. Just my I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Yeah, his ego wouldn't allow him to retire. He wants to prove that he is still the "King Of Pop". "King of Poop" is more like it. I agree though, he does need to get his shit together. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Madonna and Prince weren't child stars. Prince signed to Warner Bros. in his teens but didn't drop albums or attain worldwide fame when he was an adolescent or younger--like Mike. Madonna was a nobody until 26 or so. It's all about that. Mike's shelf life has expired faster and the impact of being a child in the business has left its permanent ugly scars. He's his own worst enemy...and about half the songs on his last LP sucked. And he hasn't toured the US in what, a decade? All those reasons combined. I'll leave it alone babe...just be me

MJ is stealthily plannig his comeback...with the help of....Fiddy.
Troubled pop superstar MICHAEL JACKSON wants to launch a pop comeback collaborating with rapper 50 CENT. The singer, who was acquitted on child molestation charges last year (05), revealed his plans to G-UNIT member DJ WHOO KID, who recently spent time with Jackson in Bahrain. The pair became friends and now Whoo Kid - who has been hired to DJ a number of parties for the Bahrain royal family - wants to help orchestrate a spectacular return for Jackson and bring him and G-Unit colleague 50 Cent together. He tells MTV.com, "I (saw) Michael Jackson sitting by the pool sippin' lemonade. They didn't tell me he was going to be there - I didn't even expect Michael to be in the country. So I'm like, 'F**king Michael Jackson is here.'" He later dined with Bahrain ruler SHEIKH ABDULLAH BIN HAMAD AL-KHALIFA, singer JOHN LEGEND and Jackson. Whoo Kid adds, "Mike was like, 'Whoo Kid, come sit over here.' "He was supposed to be there for like 45 minutes; he stayed for five hours. We was talking about EMINEM. He was like, 'Is Eminem really retired?' I forgot that Eminem totally cremated him in one video (LOSE IT), but (Michael) didn't even bring it up. Then he started talking about 50." Whoo Kid later arranged a phone conversation between the two.
From ContactMusic.com Wow. What a horrible idea. [Edited 3/30/06 20:25pm]

But I doubt he will be able to go that route anymore since he is so stuck in the pop/rock/sappy arena. [Edited 3/31/06 3:17am]

From ContactMusic.com Wow. What a horrible idea. This is the exact reason why MJ should retire. His strategy for making music is not based on true inspiration and fresh ideas,it's based on a desperate need to keep up with all the current trends. The idea of MJ working on an album with 50 Cent is just ludicrous.Mike is chasing after an audience that wasn't even born when 'Thriller' came out. That's sad.
