Cee-Lo Green?

Do any of you guys/gals like Cee-lo Green? I dig his quirky lil funky style. He seems like he would be the son of George Clinton. Any thoughts?

I loved him when he was with Goodie Mob....IMO they havent been the same without him. His solo debut is pretty good.

Cee Lo has more soul in his pinky than most.

I truly love his two solo albums and have been diggin' the Gnarls Barkley promo for almost a year now.

He has two other projects coming up as well. One with Jazze Pha called Happy Hour and another Gnarls type project called Lovestink, a colab with Plantlife. Not to be left out is a Goodie Mob reunion album as well.

Lo is most famous for being in the Hip Hop group Goodie Mob and has usually been the guy that laid down the hook for other artist

ala;

Trick Daddy -In Da Wind and Sugar
Santana - Do You Like the Way (from Supernatural)

even internationally on

Seeed - Aufstehn (I really dig this one)

just to quickly name a few.

Cee Lo seems to work like this with people; they either really like him or can't stand him at all. Mostly because of his unusual delivery, they immediately get turned off not giving it a chance. Smiley Faces and Crazy from Gnarls Barkley show off his natural singing voice.

Gnarls Barkley is going to go a long way in crossing him over to the mainstream. At least in the UK. The song Crazy is #1 in the UK now and the physical single has yet to be released. It is the first single in the UK to go to #1 strictly on internet downloads alone. Gnarls is a great colab with him and Danger Mouse.

Of course, here in the U.S. he will continue to be slept on.

His music is creative, inovative, soulful, funky. Lyrically, I find him stunning as his lyrics are passionate in such a way that his vocal style puts extra emphasis on his artistic lyrics.

I wish more people could look beneath his appearance and unusual voice stylings to see what a talented guy he really is.

Cee Lo is much more than the guy that lays down hooks for other artist.

Just my .02 on Cee Lo

So true. Love his stuff. 'The soul machine' is breathtaking.

I saw him live in London, not a great performer.

I was worried that he may begin to water down his stuff in pursuit of more commercial success, but this thing with danger mouse seems exciting. And funnily enough has got him a number 1 in the UK biggrin
"London, i've adopted a name that has no pronounciation.... is that cool with you?"

"YEAH!!!"

"Yeah, well then fuck those other fools!"

yeah Cee - Lo is my boy. Goodie Mob also before they broke up. I think his first solo album was much better than the second. It sounds like the label tried to force him to sound more commercial on the second album.

Im feeling the Gnarls Barkley stuff also
