I bought the original version of this album (I hate it when they release another one - it screws the loyal fans that buy the product when it is first released). It is excellent.
For my money, TTD is still the only artist that can even begin to approach Prince on a complete artistic level by playing all the instruments and composing all the music onhis fantasticly deep albums | |

Good for you  and yes it's a great album indeed!
But know that he had troubles with the distributor (Universal Germany). They made it pretty hard to get and then against a crazy price, plus they even went behind his back. (For all clarity: the cd was released in Japan by another distributor: Avex and they have nothing to do with those hassles mention above) So he had to take distance from that and now he's re-releasing it and enjoy the fans with some extra songs. The "die-hards" surely have downloaded the former downloadable version and a few outtakes which are still up 
Just know he didn't do it because out of plain commercial gains. Heck, did you look what he asks? And that with shipping INCLUDED! Guess you won't find that elsewhere on the net
