Have any of you Australian guys/girls ever heard of the great Australian band, The Hard-Ons?

The Hard-Ons are the best band to come out of Australia, damn it and I think that I am one of the few people in America who have ever even heard of them...

INJUSTICE!!!

Those guys are great! Great, I tell you!!!

EDIT: I would re-direct this post to the Music: Non-Prince forum if I could... I accidentally put it on the wrong forum...

Unfortunately, they have been around for a LONG time and nobody in America really knows about them... I have been into their music since probably 1989 or so. Damn, they are great...

They are not really playing anymore from what I understand and are all focusing on other projects... sad, really.

im not even close to australia, but sure i have heard of them. Truly a great punkpopband, they also have been able to keep high level with their releases. I also love The Meanies, bet youll like them too (10% Weird is great album and also one of the greatest ramones-style punk songs ever).
And the whole Australia seems to full of great pop/rock/punk bands! At least it was a decade ago... DM3, Beasts Of Bourbon, Jack and the Beanstalk, Eastern Dark...
And not to forget AC/DC, though its not exactly my fav ("if you want blood you've got it" IS great).

impressive list of fav bands you got, Ice9! Replacements, Dwarves.. and Prince.

I always get laughed at in those punkpop-circles if i mention Ramones, Pixies and Prince in the same sentence sad

U people had same experiences question

They've just never heard Prince's punk music. (He eivät ole koskaan vain kuulleet Princen punk-musiikkia = suomeksi)

Honestly, most of those folks in the so called punk people have no idea what punk music is really all about and what it was originally. Now they just seem to think it's just badly played rock. But I mean, have they ever sat down and listened to a Talking Heads record?

Thanks! I got tired of typing... otherwise the list would be terribly long.

The Dwarves are another timeless band!

I don't want to get started on the Replacements/Paul Westerberg... Paul Westerberg is number two on my favorite songwriters list, right behind Elvis Costello.

Some people are like Slinkies...

They're good for nothing but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

That is a damned shame... I have been a fan for many years and I always wanted them to make some cash.
