Aerosmith Steve Tyler surgery today for undiclosed illness

I heard on the radio he is going under the knife today and had to cancel the rest of their tour due to it. It is an illness they are keeping secret and I hate when they do it. So let us all hope he comes out of this and rcover and tour again. THANK GOD, I went to their concert here in MINNEAPOLIS last summer.

One of the best groups of all time!!!! Show support!!!

Most likely throat nodules from screaming all these years.....he is a bit of an icon, though, so let's hope he does well. nod

I hope everything is okay with Steve. While Aerosmith aren't one of my favorites, they do have some great songs. And the rollar coaster ride at Disney rocks!!!!! biggrin

Wow i was hoping for a bigger response on this thread for support, but i guess u people cold hearted. Maybe i should have posted Prince being sued by NBA star Carlos Boozer for the name 3121 title saying he ripped him off of it would have hit 1000 by now. By the way, he is being sued. Why have no one posted it yet!!!

those throat thingys that singers get on their vocal chords from straining their voice....typically from not using your voice correctly.... screaming too much, etc. like hard rock singers are prone to do.... sad

they haven't been a decent band since i was a teenager, lol. i mean, i hope ol' boy make a full recovery and all but he's more a music personality in my book than a musician.

kind of like lenny kravitz, who's been more concerned with fashion than anything musical.

I had a ticket to the first show they cancelled because of his illness. Great band and i hope he makes a full recovery.

Aerosmith is like prince for me. Almost everything they released in the 70's kicked ass like prince did in the 80's. Then they went hit or miss, but like prince they always put on a great concert and no matter how bad their album might be, there was always atleast that one kick ass song you liked.

The blues album they did in 04 was probably the best thing they have done in 10 plus years, kinda like our man and 3121

Having said that...get well soon, Steve! nod
