"Yearning For Your Love" by The Gap Band The Gap Band not only had some great funk but they also had some great slow jams too. My favorite slow jam by them is "Yearning For Your Love". Anyone into this one? Andy is a four letter word.

you know what,I LOVE this song, but I have one complaint:
I don't like the ending, when Charlie keeps on repeating the line "you can't keep running in and out of life".He says this a little too much, lol.

I was looking for this song earlier in the week. All I found in my collection was the Guy version. I guess I need to add some Gap Band.

I love this cut. Do any of you guys know if Michael McDonald was doing background? I listened to this song with new ears the other day and it definately sounded like him to me.

On a ranking of my fave Gap Band track, it's easily 1st or 2nd, it depends on the day I guess. "Funkyslsistah… you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude"!
"It's just my imagination, once again running away with me."

You think? It makes my top 5 of Gap Band, but no way is it ahead of "Burn Rubber (Why You Wanna Hurt Me)" (my favorite), "Early in the Morning" or "You Dropped a Bomb on Me." "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis
