The B-52's
REM
U2
Madonna
Janet Jackson
Pet Shop Boys
Radiohead
Talking Heads
The Police
Marilyn Manson
George Michael

...can't include Prince, as I don't have New Power Soul, NEWS, or For You
From my other favorite artists, I'm missing a few Bowies (Space Oddity, Black Tie/White Noise, and Pin Ups), a couple from Depeche (anything earlier than Black Celebration is represented by the first Greatest Hits), also don't own any psychadelic-era Pink Floyd.

I'll only count artists with at least 5 albums worth of material. Otherwise, there'd be too many.

Prince
The Cure
Eurythmics/Annie Lennox
Blondie
Madonna
Janet Jackson
Kylie Minogue
New Order
Depeche Mode
Aaliyah
The Doors (Jim Morrison era)
Velvet Underground (Lou Reed era)
Roxy Music
Busta Rhymes
Missy Elliott

Close:

David Bowie (I refuse to get Never Let Me Down)
Björk (I don't have her live box or her 1977 album yet)

Dire Straits (and I wish there was some more, B-Side releases or ANYTHING, GODDAMN!!!)

37 Zappa albums + 3 DVDs does not make a complete Zappa, omg...

The Doors - okay, I do not like them. I do not know why I bought all of their studio work. I really do not know... good god. I mean every album has a couple of songs I like, but that's it.

Nirvana - not too difficult.

same here..theres at least 50-75

i've got about 18 to 20, can't remember exactly right now
and i love all of them with a passion.

the thought of owning them all is double drool smile but it's
nice to be able to go to the store once in a while and pick
up a "new" Miles album to discover. i love that. i wish i'd
be able to buy some old prince stuff i'd never heard before
just like that.

++++
it's way more than 50-75.
my collection of miles is about 180 individual cds, 11 boxed sets spaning about another 70 cds. obviously, that does include some duplicate items.

if you want to justify being a completist, find a cheap version of the reissue that has bonus tracks on it...a couple of them aren't too bad, and then you can say you bought it for the extras. biggrin

(actually, there are, like, two or three semi-decent songs on there...but i won't go out of my way to defend an album that has mickey rourke rapping on it! lol )

I'm focusing on artists with at least 5 offically released albums, otherwise I'd be compiling that list forever. so some that immediately spring to mind are...

Earth Wind & Fire
Stevie Wonder
Prince
Public Enemy
Anita Baker
Zapp& Roger
Bobby Womack (guess so...)
Ice Cube
Full Force
Take 6
Wham/George Michael
Run DMC
Beastie Boys
Janet Jackson
Jamiroquai
Whitney Houston
Jacksons
Michael Jackson (post Motown)
Parliament
Sheila E
George Clinton solo (plus P-Funk All Stars)
guess I have to get the 1 or 2 albums which are still missing from the Funkadelic catalouge razz

thats all I can think of right now

.
