Revisiting N.E.R.D.'s FLY OR DIE

Fly Or Die was N.E.R.D.'s sophomore effort, released in 2004. The expectations were so high after 2001's In Search Of... that I think alot of people gave Fly Or Die a couple of spins, realized it wasnt the same record as In Search Of... then tossed it aside and I was one of those people. But since then, Ive grown to adore this cd. Some of the songs are a little juvenille but hey, whats wrong with a little whimsy? The delivery is honest and Pharrell's voice, while not stellar, is enough to deliver the goods on these songs. The songs have heart and seem to camp out in your head, so lets hear it for FLY OR DIE

I like this album a lot. It's quite melodic!

I almost tossed it aside but didn't. I kept on playing it and began to hear it for what it was and it really grew on me.

"In Search Of" is amazing. I've tried to get into "Fly Or Die" and it isn't as strong as "I.S.O".

Yeah it's all guitars and synths. It's completely different from the released version. It was circulating about...2000 or so after Kelis' album came out.

Funny that you mention this.I have been revisiting both their cd's over the past 3 days. I also think that "provider" is really underrated and "maybe" has grown on me more!

"Maybe" is so underrated. It shouldve been a much bigger hit in the states. The video was one of N.E.R.D.'s best too.
