As the disco era ended and the funk era continued strong in 1980, the funk jams had definately been touched by the tempo and rhythm of the recently "dead" disco era. One of the jams I remember during this time was "Gotta Get My Hands On Some (Money)" by Fatback. Jams like this one made me take the pop stations off my dial and switch totally to R&B/funk stations. Hey, what can I say.... ass shaking disco may have recently died but, as always, Andy refuses to let a party end and continues on with the next best thing....uptempo ass shaking funk.

Give it up for this one.

That was one of the first "single" albums I ever had. Before that, all my albums were double albums....Donna Summer "Bad Girls", Donna Summer "Live and More", "Saturday Night Fever", "Grease".
