Eh, I don't like her [Edited 3/15/06 8:34am] Me either...she is too staged/planned/contrived... that nerd kid belongs on Broadway...he can belt out a song, but he is just too wooden and stiff for this competition.... I watch this show because my two neices love it. It's hard to take it too seriously though, but they love it so I try. This is only your opinion Shausler. I happen to think Katharine and Mandisa are the best singers out of the women.

that gay geek did not win. I was stunned at how ignorant some of the people where. The bald rocker guy who's dead from the waste down (the dude has zero charisma) said he didn't even know Higher Ground was a Stevie Wonder song. He was relieved when he found out otherwise because he didn't think anything in Stevie's catalogue fit him. A couple of the others wasn't real interested in Stevie beforehand (and probably afterhand) either. Now that's okay but the issue comes up if they where to win and forced to release an album. The album will be pretty shallow if they're not well versed in all music> It's AMerican Idol, supposedly the best undiscovered talent in America (I'm serious, that's what it's supposed to be). If you're not capable of atleast having a knowledge of different styles of music how can you make the claim that you're the best discovered talent in America? Oh, yeah Paula Abdul is tone deaf I think. And that Joe Cocker wannabe dude with the grey hair was definitely exposed as having a weak voice when he sung that first verse of Living for the city.... now I think about it the show is a joke, but I'm still gonna watch it.

Lovin McPhee & Paris Love Mandisa as well. These are my faves I agree but it really doesn't matter. the competetion will NOT began until all are gone but: Paris, Mandisa, Salt and pepper head, Mcphee, the baldheaded dude and the soulful cat with a face built for radio. I am really perplexed as to how someone could have NEVER listened to a Stevie Wonder song. WFT?
