Anyone seen this video yet? The Busta Rhymes and Pharell video? The songs not that great but the video kinda pulled me in. It kinda had a Roger Rabbit feel to it. razz

The thing is with Busta...most of his songs are just ok and the whole bling-bling rapper image is played out but I like him for some reason. I like his voice, his beats, his videos...whenever I see a new video of his I have to stop and watch. biggrin

I LOVE that What's it gonna be?! song he did with Janet Jackson though. That song is so sexy.

oh my GOD!! That song is HOT!! I love it!! And I RARELY listen to hip-hop. I love me some Busta though. He's like the male Missy or something. I love it when those 2 get together. If they did a whole album together that shit would be tight!!! I like how he samples Daft Punk. Bet ya'll didn't know that!!

I also heard he sampled Daft Punk.....Yeah Busta's jams are hot. I love the other version of touch that has like 50 featured guest artists. I saw the video the other night and Mary J. is rhyming on it! Love this track. I may have to get the album when it comes out.

Yeah. The Remix is hot too. But that's too many damn people on one damn song. And it isn't even for charity confused

Busta Rhymes
The Big Bang
Out: April 11th

Rhymes spent three years putting the pieces together for The Big Bang, his first new album since 2002. First, he inked a deal with Dr. Dre's Aftermath label and worked on twenty songs with Dre. Then he brought in other top producers like the Neptunes, Timbaland, Scott Storch and Just Blaze to work on tracks, and lined up guests including Stevie Wonder, the late Rick James, Missy Elliott, Mariah Carey and Eminem. He says he had 170 songs by the time he released the album's first single, "Touch It," in late 2005. Then tragedy struck. At a February 5th video shoot, Rhymes' bodyguard Israel Ramirez was shot and killed as Rhymes stood nearby. "Everything I'm doing from this day forward is dedicated to Israel," says Rhymes, who has pledged to support Ramirez's family but so far has refused to cooperate with a police investigation. A final lineup for the album has not been set, but Rhymes says a handful of tracks are for certain. The next single, "This How We Do It Over Here," was produced by Dr. Dre and features Elliott. "It's specifically constructed to smash every club in existence," Rhymes says. He's also proud of "Into the Storm," which features Wonder's vocals, and the Dre-produced "Your Time Has Come." "Dre put the track together using the sound of a shovel going into dirt, dirt being poured onto a coffin and a heartbeat as the drum sound," Rhymes says. "It's about karma coming back to haunt you." I was kinda angry sampling Daft being that the album just came out LAST YEAR..but I gave him credit because it was their WORST album of their discography
Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.
