As the post is worst "singers" and not worst "voices", my choices are (and I'll stick with the intended 'female' theme):

1. Jessica Simpson (Every song is so breathy and oversung - I want to scratch my eyes out. Or hers.)
2. Paula Abdul (From "Forever Your Girl": "Hey baby" - two words and they were both sung shaky and off key - as are almost all of the words she's sung)
3. Britney Spears
4. Celine Dion (Repeat after me: "Sometimes less is more, sometimes less is more...")
5. Ashley Simpson (she can't decide who she wants to be so she mimics a plethora of other artists. Trouble is, her imitations are half-baked, annoying, and embarassing.)
"She made me glad to be a man"

Always. nod Sure she's got a powerful voice, but she always sings just SLIGHTY off key. It hurts my ears. disbelief

As a kid in the 80s, I really did like some of her music although I never bought her albums. But damn, she can really hit some awful notes sometimes. For example, listen to "Saving All My Love for You" when she sings "blue", it makes the wallpaper peel. nod

It’s not very easy, living all alone
My friends try and tell me, find a man of my own
But each time I try, I just break down and cry
Cause I’d rather be home feeling blooooo.....

shake

Makes me cringe every time.

omg,what am I doin' here??..Tom Waits?(some people don't get 'heartfelt' vocals I guess..)..Elton John?(I don't like him that much either,but the man CAN sing)
Sheryl Crow??(yeah,right..)

The ones who really can't sing are the ones that try to bend a note a million times per second..That has got nothing to do with singing!..(Yes,I'm thinking Mariah and Christina,of course!!)..I only hope one of these two will do an Aretha cover one day, only so that they will prove my point by raping the original with their so-called 'soulfull' voices..Try it girls, you will find out one day that you haven't got ANY soul..there,I needed to get rid of that I guess
