It's a great collection. I think it could've been whittled down to a single disc to eliminate the filler. But it was a highly ambitious project for what it was. My favorites are Upstarts In a Blowout, Bitch I'm Broke, Serve This Royalty, The Seed, She's Still Here, Eric Burdon, Daddy's Baby, and 6 Seconds.

I like those He had some nice ones but like you said a double disc was just too much. Way too much to skip over, but I look forward to his next release

my only complaint is that i wish he would've polished it up a bit. i know the raw sound has it's appeal, but it ain't 1970 no more dude, people invest too much money into their sound systems these days to have some 4 track shit blarring through their speakers.
can't wait for the next one though.

One question. Why does his shit sound like a demo made in his garage with a tape recorder?

because it was. seriously, i guess some folks tried to persuade him to clean it up, but he wasn't hearing it. i guess he wanted that vintage sound.

Well, I will say this as a producer. Sometimes when U redo songs they lose that bite or "flavor". It is hard as HECK at times to get that same "sound" when you start switching instruments and fidelity for better quality sound. You lose the earthiness of the song. The original intent is gone to a degree.

Cody is a bad muthafucka. I love this album.
"with me in mind" "smoke and love" "boylife in america" "bitch i'm broke" "the world is coming to my party" "if we don't disagree" "the seed" and "war between the sexes" are just some of the classics on this album. Go get one, now. Keep your headphones on.

It's a great record. It's got its own share of redundant fluff as well, but generally they sell that 2CD set for the price of one so why complain?

According to Cody, the CD has to be listened to with a specific name brand of headphones to get the full vibe of the CD. He said the brand of phones are no longer made. The CD isn't bad, but it didn't knock me out either.
