Two new Diana Ross compilations From diana-web:
Two new compilations CD Universe (US on-line store) have two new Diana Ross compilation CD's listed; The Definitive Collection (Motown), to be released March 28, and something called the Blue Album (Umvd / Motown), to be released on April 25. No track listing available so far, but I will post it here as soon as it is revealed. I hope this set includes her rendition of Aretha Franklin`s "Call me", which is VERY difficult to find on cd.

That's great news, but didn't they already release the excellent, The Motown Anthology four or five years ago? Check me out and add me on:

Yes, the music is what matters, and she has been VERY VERY lucky with her material silverchild said: That's great news, but didn't they already release the excellent, The Motown Anthology four or five years ago?
Yes, in 2001, and what a compilation, "Time and love" is a real gem

That's all Motown does these days...release one compilation after another, lol. They keep re-packaging and re-selling the same songs over and over again. Why not remaster Diana's actual albums for a change?

Hi there Yeah, "Blue album", i`m very excited about that one, maybe we can get some unreleased stuff It`s probably because of the terrible westlife duet, to introduce her music to a new generation of fans. If the compilations does well, maybe some of her more rare records will be re-released on cd, like "Everything is everything" and "Last time i saw him", which hasn`t even appeared on cd before.

what is the "Blue Album"? Could this be the new album she's working on right now? Carlos Santana mentioned that he will be playing guitar on a few tracks.

[Edited 2/28/06 5:43am] I haven`t got a clue, but it said two new compilations, though "Blue album" sounds like a strange name for that. I`ll keep checking diana-web, can`t wait to see the track-lists

I too wonder if "The Blue Album" is her new one. It was announced last Summer that she would have a new album out this spring; but I haven't heard anything lately. My name is Prince and I want your money

the latest word is that the album will be released in the fall. It's a duets album....a concept album about love.Carlos Santana plays guitar on a few tracks. Her recent duets with Rod Stewart and Westlife might be included. It's rumored that Clive Davis is over-seeing this project.

THAT diva (read: bitch, witch, etc.) thought New Orleans wasn't good enough for her! And please don't get me started about how she backstabed Mary Wilson one time too many!!

Well thanx for busting my bubble I really thought we were in for another "Take me higher" or at least a more upbeat "Everyday's a New Day". This duets deal DOES NOT sound appealing.
