well, yeah, she´s not worldwide icon. She´s made few movies, released few records, one of which Lenny Krawitz helped her with, which is cool. Her album Bliss is good as well. Vanessa is beautiful, and I remember one of her video's in which I think she was in the bottom of an empty swimming pool (correct me if I'm wrong) and she was dressed in a very 60's outfit with long centre parted hair - she looked just like my gorgeous mum did back in the day! | |

Couldn't agree more. I've long time thought Mr Depp is fantasically attractive, and a great actor to boot. That's weird. my original post didn't show up! in any case, I worked with her when she was a supermodel. Not an icon-brand style model like what we use as a success barometer in the States, but when she was a high fashion heavy hitter in Paris and Milan. She was a real hardcore couture diva back then, but I haven't followed much of her career since the old days. She's still lovely, though! And a working mom who still has pop cultural relevance in Europe...that's kinda cool! Didn't she come out with her record the same time as Mila J.??? I remember we used to play that mess for hours on end on studio shoots because it was so "fashion friendly"  | |

It is easy to find silly, bad moment pics of people. I once met her backstage at a televisionshow, back when she was Lenny Kravitz's girlfriend, who was performing on Dutch tele. We chatted a bit and I did not recognise her at all until Lenny joined us. She looked SO horrid, a bit like a crack whore. Serious. But back then I was still Kravitz fan, so I needed a pic. We three posed, my friend snapped us. Only when the pic was developed we found out she IS a model, she was just radiant in that pic! It's presence. Fun thing, models are just women that go to the grocer's without make up. The guys that obsess over models would not even LOOK at thm on the street, as the image they have learned to worship is one of loads of lights, make up and photoshop. [Edited 2/6/06 15:30pm] |
