80s pop classic of the day: "The Captain Of Her Heart" by Double (1986) "The Captain Of Her Heart" (Hang,Maloo) It was way past midnight and she still couldn't fall asleep This night the dream was leaving she tried so hard to keep and with the new day's dawning she felt it drift away not only for a cruise not only for a day Too long ago,too long apart she couldn't wait another day for the captain of her heart As the day came up,she made a stop she stopped waiting another day for the captain of her heart

Yes... great song... I would NEVER have known the band's name if you hadn't mentioned it... a one-hit wonder right?

I loved this song!
I don't think I've heard it since the 80's though. "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

1986? Wow. For some reason, I thought this song was earlier than this. For a while, I thought this song was Joe Jackson, because it reminded me of Steppin' Out (not a good song for me to be reminded of).

"Steppin' Out" by Joe Jackson No! That song always gives me the willies. I can't explain it. Then there was the time Angela Bower and Tony Micelli danced to it in a dream sequence on Who's the Boss?, and that made it even worse!

OMG great song. Very Joe Jackson-ish. "I'll be the first one to admit that I am many things, but one thing I am not is ungrateful...thank you..." - Prince

Does it deserve the "headbang" emoticon that DavidEye gave it? "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

I was thinking it was Michael Jackson's dad or something. I like this one. I don't remember any "Who's the Boss?" connection though.
