80s pop classic of the day: "The Captain Of Her Heart" by Double (1986)

"The Captain Of Her Heart"
(Hang,Maloo)

It was way past midnight
and she still couldn't fall asleep

This night the dream was leaving
she tried so hard to keep

and with the new day's dawning
she felt it drift away
not only for a cruise
not only for a day

Too long ago,too long apart
she couldn't wait another day
for the captain of her heart

As the day came up,she made a stop
she stopped waiting another day
for the captain of her heart

Yes... great song... thumbs up! I would NEVER have known the band's name if you hadn't mentioned it... a one-hit wonder right?

1986? Wow. For some reason, I thought this song was earlier than this. For a while, I thought this song was Joe Jackson, because it reminded me of Steppin' Out (not a good song for me to be reminded of).

lol No! That song always gives me the willies. I can't explain it. Then there was the time Angela Bower and Tony Micelli danced to it in a dream sequence on Who's the Boss?, and that made it even worse!

It deserves a lot of things, but a head bang is not one of them! lol If you so choose, you can listen to a sample.
