80's Song of the Day: "Don't Shed a Tear" by Paul Carrack Does anybody remember this song that was released in 1987? Love the guitar intro to this song especially, as well as the melody. Been jamming to this song a lot lately, love it!
Paul Carrack - Don't Shed A Tear Lyrics Cab fare to nowhere is what you are A white line to an exit sign is what you are All that I saw in you Now I see through Chorus: Don't shed a tear for me My life won't end-without you Long as the night will be The sun will rise-without you A locked door on a candy store is what you are A slick chance in tight pants is what you are All that I loved you for I want it more Chorus You ain't givin' Well, I'm not takin' I'm not missin' What we ain't makin' All that I saw in you Now I see through Chorus 2X RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

That's twice now this week that somebody's done a thread on a song I've been thinking of. Strange...unless people are reading my mind. No, I'm not paranoid. And saying somebody is reading my mind is making me sound like a former Orger who's no longer here to defend herself, so I should just shut up!
Anyway, I used to love hearing this song on the radio. It came out in 1987 when I was in 8th grade. Paul Carrack used to be a part of Mike and the Mechanics. I liked them and I loved this tune. Good pick.

Good pick. Thanks. Didn't know that Paul Carrack was in the band Mike and the Mechanics; I used to like them too back in the 80's. Like I said on another thread, I'm hopelessly old school. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.
