I tried to listen to Venetian Snares several times but it just makes
me want to be sick and bang my head against the wall. I thought that
I might like it, since I also appreciate the more experimental sides
of "dance" like Aphex Twin and Autechre and to a certain extend even
groups like Atari Teenage Riot.

But this, this is simply too much for me. It makes me evil

Uh. Then sorry, the next time you're going to come over to Helsinki you'd better not shack up at my place because I mostly listen to way much more " evil " stuff than Venetian Snares. That stuff is just too damn pop for me. wink

(btw, I love Autechre.)

Back on a Damita Jo kick big time, for some reason. I've been playing the album at least twice a day since about Sunday. Don't know quite what brought it on, but I forgot how much better this album was than 'All For You'. The entire album isn't a winner (I probably only like about 50% of it), but the songs I like, I REALLY like. I think it's about as good, or a little better, than 'janet', but not up to the level of 'Rhythm Nation', 'Control', or 'The Velvet Rope'.

Also been listening to:

and much to my chagrin, I've been listening to (and enjoying)
