There's a Billie Holiday song that I used to love, but I can't remember the words or the melody. She's singing about a lost love. Something about how even though she knows she could move on and find another love, she'd rather spend her life remembering what they had, feeling the joy of the memories and the sorrow of the loss forever. The gist of the song is that she chooses to remain alone and remember this lost love.
