Madonna's upcoming world tour---the latest news

So much news has been floating around lately. Here is what we know so far:

The tour costumes will be designed by Jean Paul Gaultier

Tour rehearsals begin on February 15

The tour is set to focus on the dance theme of Madonna's latest album 'Confessions On A Dancefloor'."It'll be all discotheques and disco balls",she says.

The tour is expected to begin in early June and end in late September. In addition to the US,she will play Japan and Australia this time around.

Once again, here is my idea of what the focus of the tour could be.Originally,I included the new songs at the end,but I've changed my mind and included the COADF songs throughout the show.Let me know what you think...

MADONNA 'DEFYING GRAVITY ON THE DANCEFLOOR' WORLD TOUR 2006

This tour is a celebration of dance music. No ballads,no sad songs.A 2-hour extravaganza in which Madonna performs her dance classics. There will be four segments (or "acts",since her shows are like plays). Each act is devoted to a different dance period.Act 1 is the 70s disco segment. The stage is designed like a 70s disco straight out of 'Saturday Night Fever'.Act 2 is devoted to the 80s nightclub scene. The stage is now designed like a New York dance club (perhaps Danceteria, the New York nightclub where Madonna got her start?).Act 3 is a celebration of the 90s techno/rave scene, and the stage is now designed to look just like a rave.Act 4 is the "Future Disco" segment, and most of this segment is devoted to the new album. The stage is designed to look like a very futuristic disco...very hi-tech and computerized, with the loudest sound system in the world.

ACT 1 (70s Disco flashback) the songs in this segment are slightly "re-invented" to sound very disco-y,as if they were recorded in the late 70s.

"Get Together"
"Everybody"
"Lucky Star"
"Physical Attraction"
"Dress You Up"
"Future Lovers" (video)

ACT 2 (80s nightclub flashback)

"Spotlight"
"Sidewalk Talk"
"I Love New York"
"Angel"
"Where's The Party/Vogue"
"Causing A Commotion"
"Forbidden Love" (video)

ACT 3 (90s techno/rave flashback)

"Ray Of Light"
"Skin"
"Deeper and Deeper"
"Justify My Love"
"Isaac" (video)

ACT 4 (future disco)

"Let It Will Be"
"Sorry"
"Into The Groove"
"Jump"
"Hung Up" (extended finale that goes on forever)

Let me see what you guys can come up with...

YAHOO MUSIC---The first details of Madonna's 2006 world tour have been leaked on the Internet, with full confirmed dates expected to be announced this week,Yahoo Music reports.According to unsubstantiated claims online, the pop superstar will play shows throughout June and July in America, including five dates at Shea Stadium in New York City. The news comes amid industry reports that promotional king-pin Arthur Fogel has been signed for the live follow-up to last year's "Re-Invention Tour".

Fogel, who put together the "Re-Invention" jaunt and the 2001 "Drowned World" tour,is said to be fronting the 2006 outing, which will promote the 'Confessions On A Dancefloor' album, reports Billboard. The tour, which is set to commence in America, apparently spans the globe, concluding with shows in Australia in mid to late September.

Spotlight is the JAM!
And she WILL do ballads on tour...she needs a break, her ass can't move THAT non stop. Hopefully she doesn't lump them all together in one section this time.
I loved Deeper and Deeper as a ballad but I hope she does the dance version this time.
I'll leave it alone babe...just be me

"Spotlight" and "Sidewalk Talk" are rare songs that she has never performed live.I think it would be cool if she re-surrected these songs for the tour.I'm tired of hearing "Holiday" on every tour! mad
