people should listen to this interview.

http://www.soundclick.com...dID=296416

It has that Janet "Got til it's gone" story also it has the story of how a producer stole Jay Dee's track for "Do for Love" and used it for 2pac by choppin it up and pitching it.

I remember cutting class and going downtown atl to Fat Beats and I heard Get this Money from the office space soundtrack. Wonderful memories I am A huge Slum Village/J Dilla/ THe Ummah fan and have tried to collect most of his productions over the years.

A side note Jay dee was a Huge Prince fan. When asked who he admired musically Prince as always mentioned. THey even have to skits on the fantastic vol 2 lp doing prince songs. One as a cop singing Purple rain, then later as Louie Armstrong singing I would die for you and a hilarious Morris Day impression funny stuff. Peace to Dilla

Funny how the first skit combined a Purple Rain reference with a Five Heartbeats reference.

That second skit was even funnier.

That is a criminally slept-on album, with beats hotter than most out today.

I didn't know until I read posts on here that he was responsible for one of my favorite songs like A Tribe called quest 1nce again and The Pharcyde - Runnin' .

Rip Jaydee a true fighter until the end.
