Damn. I feel bad because I've never even heard of the brotha but read who he's worked with and I'm a fan of most of those cats. Damn. What a loss.

You may not know the name but you know the tracks. You know Pharcyde "Runnin" "Drop" De La Soul's "Stakes are High" and Busta Rhymes "Whoo Ha got you all in Check" The list keeps going..... Janet Jackson etc

The catalog is huge. And im sure with a proper documentary people will realize that he was a genius.

He was a Lord of Detroit. I know this blow is taking the D Town hard.

Oh my god..you would be surprised who was into Jay Dee. I know I was by the list. The UK's response is probably gonna be a big one as well.

http://www.myspace.com/jdilla

Listen to some tracks...

I hope he goes platinum on stonesthrow with his next release. I wasnt too much a fan. I had the basics but I know alot of cats I listened to Dilla was a huge inspiration for. So with that said you cant dismiss his contribution

I bet you Busta Rhymes will say something...about it.

Check out Scrapluv's links above. nod

I could recommend 2 whole CDs that he did all of the production on.

Slum Village "Fantastic, Vol. 2"

Jay Dee aka J Dilla "Welcome 2 Detroit"
