It is easy to find silly, bad moment pics of people. I once met her backstage at a televisionshow, back when she was Lenny Kravitz's girlfriend, who was performing on Dutch tele. We chatted a bit and I did not recognise her at all until Lenny joined us. She looked SO horrid, a bit like a crack whore. Serious. But back then I was still Kravitz fan, so I needed a pic. We three posed, my friend snapped us. Only when the pic was developed we found out she IS a model, she was just radiant in that pic! It's presence. Fun thing, models are just women that go to the grocer's without make up. The guys that obsess over models would not even LOOK at thm on the street, as the image they have learned to worship is one of loads of lights, make up and photoshop. Actually, that's probably very true. Especially after watching a bunch of episodes of "America's Next Top Model," I've noticed that there are a lot of women who are pretty but not necessarily stunning until they get photographed. As some in the business would say, they come alive in front of the camera. That goes for Playboy Playmates and Maxim girls as well. I went to a Playmate/pin-up girl convention a couple of years ago, and I saw a few of the babes whose photos made me want to, umm, "pleasure myself";  yet surprsiningly enough, they didn't look particularly that beautiful in person. Some of them were still really pretty, and I'd still hook up with them if I had the chance, but in other cases, I could see that they spent a lot of money to enhance their figure. There were other Playmates who look absolutely stunning on film but looked no different then some of my ex-girlfriends in person. If anything, just as a lot of young girls can be so caught up in what the media deems to be beautiful that they end up having eating disorders, us guys can be misled in the same way and put too many expectations on the women we date to look like something that isn't real.

I wish Kravitz would do an entire album for Brandy in that style... going back to their roots. This Vanessa Paradis record with Lenny is one of my 3 fave albums of all time! It's so damn good, the whole thing. Better than half of his own records even. Get it! On the other hand, I just got the Dan Dyer cd, Lenny's latest "project". It's fucking awful and just boring as hell. Ughh. | |
