I love this song. Pat Benatar was really great back in the day. She had that "in your face" kind of attitude with this one and another one of her's called "Heartbreaker". She's a little petite lady but she's definately powerful. I remember when Dick Clark took one look at her performance and said "You are unbelievable. You're like a caged animal". Anyone feeling this song?

I love Pat. She's got a lot of great songs. This is one of the most overplayed, but I still like it.

Pat was great and may be the best female rock vocalist of her era. I think people too often mentioned the fact that she was trained in opera, as if that legitimized her status as a great singer. Opera training or not, she's got some fan-fucking-tastic pipes.

I'm not overly fond of Hit Me with Your Best Shot, but I won't change the station if it comes on. For me, her best track is Treat Me Right - full of attitude, independence, and I love her higher notes in this one. Love that guitar solo, too! Other songs I love:

Although Hit Me With You Best Shot is not one of my faves, Pat Benatar is. Also love her husband Neil Geraldo's guitar skills. My fave album is Seven the Hard Way. It has alot of unknown but great tunes. Probably her most heaviest and expiremental.
