The only way I'll accept the Jesus pose on a magazine cover is if inside they include photos of a real flogging of the artist and the application of a real crown of thorns. That way they won't cheapen the image. Consequently, no asshole would ever do it again.

I don't pay Kanye any attention so he could do the full pose with cross and loin cloth at this point and it wouldn't phase me. Moreso annoying is another celeb confessing they're addicted to porn.

I'm so split with Kanye. He should be able to think and say he's great, if Prince can why can't he. I think he is a good producer. My issue with Kanye is that I think he's fake. He strives to be controversial. He's not doing what he does just to do it, he has a motive and he wants to like Madonna and Prince in being controversial. But the thing about them is, they weren't trying to be controversial, they just were. They believed in what they did and they had the talent to back it up, even if what they did was stupid. Kanye seems to plan his shit. That speech at the telethon was planned. I heard that the good thing of him saying that GWB hates black people was so that people could talk about him. It's stuff like that that causes me to just roll my eyes. And this cover on Rolling Stone is even more proof of how hard he's trying. He needs to just stop with the BS and do music, even if it sucks.

Funny, people such as Prince, who are far more talented, have never done something this pompous.

Any celebrity likening their experience in the music business to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ really needs to let some of the air out of their heads. They're not on the same level of importance.

I think that Kanye's position presumes he is "great." He's made some -- SOME --"great" music. But his work is average when compared to true legends in his own genre.

I think he has a lot to be proud of, but unlike some of the great artists he tries to compare himself to, he isn't as talented as he thinks he is.

But I wouldn't care if it were Prince, Lennon, Hendrix, Coltrane, or Mozart, anyone who pulls that stunt simply doesn't get it. We all have our crosses to bear. But a multimillionaire who lives a life most people in this universe can't even dream of, who purports to liken his sufferings to a crucified peasant preacher sorely needs perspective.
