REM - So Fast, So Numb

Anyone could scratch your surface now,
It's all amphetamine
You're blasting yourself into the present
Learn some vast indignity

I miss the '90's REM. This 3 piece and drum machine bullshit just isn't the same.

At dead of night, when strangers roam
The streets in search of anyone who'll take them home
I lie alone, the clock strikes three
And anyone who wanted to could contact me
At dead of night, 'till break of day
Endless thoughts and questions keep me awake
It's much too late

Stars - The First Five Times

The songwriting on this CD (Set Yourself on Fire) is damn amazing! Anybody here a fan? If there was any justice in this world, music like this would be all over the charts instead of Kanye West and American Idol.

Delta 5

Delta 5 came from the same Leeds(U.K.) music scene that gave us Gang of Four & The Mekons. If you're a fan of the old post-punk bands like The Slits,Au Pairs,Raincoats,Bush Tetras, & the aforementioned Gang of Four, you'll absolutely love this nod! They all share that punky funk rock sound probably inspired by Talking Heads who started it all.I've been listening to this nonstop since I bought it Tuesday.NWF, are you reading this?!

They say you're a man-eater during the full moon
Mascot of the senior boys' locker room
They said Yvette walked in, there wasn't too much rap
Her reputation got bigger, and so did her gap
Cuz girl your momma shoulda taught you better
I'mma sit down and write you a long letter.
