Glitter is far better than most of the shit on the Radio today

okay , so i've been away for a while, and today after a long time i listened to "Glitter"( i dont know why people hate on it so much) and i will say that "Twister" and "if We" are far better songs than anything on the radio today. i'd much rather listen to "Loverboy" than that d4l "Laffy Taffy" crap or "Pon de replay" or "Grillz" or any of that other shit that passes for music these days. apart from the fact that there are way too many samples and rappers on Glitter itz a great album

As I recall Rolling Stone reviewed the cd long before it was released and they gave it a very positive review. Then Mariah had her meltdown & everything went downhill after that. But before all that happened RS gave it 4 stars - or something like that. It seemed odd that a cd that got such good reviews at first ended up being panned later & the music forgotten.

"ALL MY LIFE" fallinluv ,I heard Mariah contacted Rick James while he was in jail to get him to write this song.
There are alot of outtakes from this album that never got released including a track by Prince the features Mariah and Eminem, a remake of "Time after time" and tracks produced by Jillybean.

I have, and I own the movie. One of my fave pieces of trash. A few good songs, but the album as a whole isn't very good.

ok, Ithought the vocal performance and production was really good, especially for when it came out in 2001 (there was so much generic stuff at the time)
Too bad the album failed, had it not maybe she would have embraced her funkier side more

There's also a rumor that Mariah wanted a "Madonna-sounding track" for her movie. So,she worked with Madonna's old producer Patrick Leonard on a song called "Angel of Fire".
