I'm fine with that. I just have a block on nearly all pre-70's music. Doesn't take anything away from his prowess.

What about something like James Brown's Black Caesar soundtrack from `73?

Never heard it!

His `70s stuff is my favorite, and that's a pretty safe recommendation from me.

say wha?

i've only heard the james version, with the female saying "cuz the guys today, don't wanna take that mess" and james going "AWWW!" right after.

it's so funky - "love 2 the 9s" reminds me of this track.

My bad.

I thought you were just shortening the title of the Bobby Byrd tune Sayin' It And Doin' It Is Two Different Things.

James Brown songs are eve¨n better live. I´ve seen him in Prague last year and he was PHENOMENAL. His live versions of Man´s world, Sex Machine, Get off tha thing were amazing.
"When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."
