Listen in as the "Upper Room with Joe Kelley" radio show welcomes legendary soul artist, JUNIOR, for an in-depth and music special. The interview is taking place to celebrate the release of Junior's new CD, "Oceans" which has been lauded in music circles for its amazing songwriting and Junior's standout vocals. For all the latest Junior info and CD ordering, you can go to www.juniorgiscombe.com and www.cdbaby.com/juniorgiscombe.

Junior started in the late seventies, forming a band called the Idellicks, a six piece vocal band which toured pubs and clubs in the London and Midlands area. He was then asked to make an album for a label called Pressure Records. The first single from that project was "Hot Up and Heat It" which became a number one hit in France in the late seventies. He was then signed to Polygram Records after "Hot Up and Heat It" was heard on the Greg Edwards radio show. His first release from that signing was the multi million selling classic "Mama Used To Say" from the album Ji, which sold over a million copies worldwide.

Throughout his illustrious career, Junior has collaborated with such music legends as Stevie Wonder, Arif Mardin, Stuart Levine, Phyllis Hyman,Maxi Priest, Ruby Turner, Monte Moir, and Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis to name but a few.He has also written for the hugely successful Lighthouse family, Penny Ford, Amie Stewart and Paul Johnson as well as producing several hit singles, most recently being the remake of "Mama Used To Say" with Richard Blackwood.

"The Upper Room with Joe Kelley & Gi Dussault" has been on the air since 1982. Besides a live Monday night show at WVOF, the Upper Room has a 24 hour internet station at www.upperroomwithjoekelley.com. In March 2004, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Prince's official web site www.npgmusicclub.com featured the "Upper Room" on its web site. This is the first radio show to have received that honor.
