One OfThe Worst R&B Singers I've Ever Heard...... Is CEE-LO! He Can't Sing! Some of y'all may like his style. But to me that dude SUUUCKS!! He just butchers Trick Daddy's song "In The Wind" when he sings "It's in the WEEEEEN!!!! Uggggghhh. He would'nt last 5 seconds with Simon from American Idol. Here's to hoping that his career is over.

cuz he's a rapper.....that now tries to sing....

But he's a good songwriter. It's not like he is hired to sing someone else's songs.

I believe Cee-Lo wrote "Don't Cha". I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

I think Cee-Lo is decent under CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES. I can't stand that "Gettin' grown" song he had out a while back but I really like the vocals on his duet with Jazzy Pha (they are both doing their best Rick James imitations) on "Happy Hour". I wouldn't put him in the Ja Rule, Pharell, Andre 3000 rapper-singing-his-own-hooks category. I think he's an OKAY vocalist. Not the greatest but not singing out of arrogance because he has hit records and is full of himself. [Edited 12/24/05 9:19am]

He said CeeLo does NOT sing out of arrogance, unlike others who do because they have a lot of hit records and are full of themselves. Perhaps the phrasing is confusing you. Cee LO has vocal ability it's just he isn't trained like others. If you can't pick that up then you need to listen to some of his harmonies and how he doubles up on Goodie Mob albums. And not only that but his lyrics in between the days of KAST mania in ATL Cee lo and G.M. filled the gap for Southern groups who are saying something really strong of a message and lyrical at the same time.
Cee Lo's problem is he made a abstract debut and then he made a crossover debut with a bunch of name brand producers. And Now he is doing a crossover album with Jazze Pha. I think Cee Lo is a good producer when he needs to be and I think Cee Lo has it in him to have a near "HEY YA" But he needs a new video director and he needs to lose weight. Not to be rude but that's the industry. I mean people who pick on Cee Lo's voice then you can pick on a hundred or so people from the Delta including Son House, Led Belly,John Lee Hooker and even modern troubadours outside of the delta like Tom Waits and Robert Bradley and Chocolate Genius. I could say alot more on Cee Lo but I will leave with this. I knew this dude was dangerous when he did the intro with Andre on "Crooked Booty" with just piano and his voice. Cee Lo is slept on with these two albums. Forget his freakin solo work for now. But these two put him in the hall of lyrics forever "Soul Food" and "Still Standing" Some of the harmonies on Soul Food and Still Standing? Fuckin ridiculous and let's not forget one thing ...for someone raised in the church and not trained but coming raised in Hip hop? Cee Lo is the Truth... Cee Lo was before Pharrell. Come to think of it I think Im going to half.com and get Still Standing on CD. Im waiting to see what he does on the Danger Mouse collab album. Jazze Pha one is not winning me over yet.

He's a producer. On Ciara's One Two Step in the begining Missy says "this is a Jazzie Pha production"...Cee-lo is okay

I just don't like his singing style. He dosen't sing a melody. he sings in mumbling circles. But Closet Freak was great! With the video's with its corny 80's special effects. Thank You San Alejo for getting rid of my enemies. :-0

If you do not think Lo can sing, check out his vocals on "Do you like the Way" from Santana's Supernatural album. Or, checkout his vocals on the new song CRAZY from his forthcoming Gnarls Barkley album which is a colaboration with DJ Danger Mouse.
You can find it here http://s8.yousendit.com/d...RR0F6UHM94 I love Cee lo and do understand that his vocal style can take some getting used to, but so does Q-Tip. Either way, Cee Lo Green can flat out sing his ass off and has more soul in his pinky than most R&B/Hip Hop artist today. Check out the Crazy song!!!!! Later Cause tomorrow is taking too long
