Any of y'all old school vinyl hunters come across this? : Spinozza Spinozza - David Spinozza
The guitarist's solo album, on A&M records, 1978, with contributions from artists like Luther Vandross (On "Superstar" and "Doesn't She Know By Now"), Dave Sanborn, Diva Gray, David Lasley, Anthony Jackson, Randy & Michael Brecker , and Leon Pendarvis, Mike Mainieri, and Rob Mounsey... The album opens with a instrumental(with Background vocals) version of the Leon Russell song, "Superstar", (which the Carpenters help make famous - this is also kind of a prelude to Luther's own version, which would later appear on his album, "Busy Body"). It's funny, Luther tries to hide among the other background singers here, but it's impossible, because his voice always came across louder and stronger than everyone else's... Spinozza also shows impressive West Montgomery-style chops on the next track, "On My Way To The Liquor Store" Spinozza wrote, orchestrated, conducted and sings lead on "Prelude.../The Ballerina." Another highlight is the quiet, laid-back "Doesn't She Know By Now?" where his acoustic guitar is backed by a vocal trio led by Luther again. Any of you Quiet Storm listeners or Jazzheads remember this one? ... " I've got six things on my mind --you're no longer one of them." - Paddy McAloon, Prefab Sprout

KBLX the Quiet Storm out of Berkley CA used to play him. I haven't heard his name in ages. We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their color. Maya Angelou
