its definatly not crouton anyway....what cd shall i pick up?

You can start with this:

It'll help you understanfd the music better.

I'd srtart with some of the Bela Fleck and the Flecktones CDs.
Probably Three Flew Over The CuCkoo's Nest and the self-titled disc.
Then - Extraction! Its Greg Howe's CD. Victor Wooten on bass, Greg on guitar and Dennis Chambers on drums! Its mind boggling! Top notch work on there.
For his solo CDs, Yin-Yang and AShow of Hands. That should hold you for a sec.
