I think "leave me alone' is great, along with "the way you make me feel"....it's a product of its time....i'm glad it exists because there is no other Michael Jackson album like it.....only problem is I still have a problem with whether he's guilty or not and have bagged all his albums until i've come to terms with that...if i ever do. my inner child is in those albums and needs protecting in the meantime.

none of his stuff can touch off the wall...as far as cohesive full listening experience albums.

nod

I only dig a handfull of tracks on Bad. Liberian Girl is a great cut, Leave Me Alone is cool, and I love Speed Demon. I can do without the rest.

I hate this album. It was the beginning of the end for MJ imo. The one and only tune I truly ever liked (and still do) was Dirty Diana. I remember buying HIStory and being amazed DD wasn't on there. HIStory was history in my collection soon after...I ended up selling it at my garage sale.

BTW, I think Off The Wall, Destiny, Thriller, and Triumph are genius. I still love 'em.

I prefer Dangerous, but there are some great songs.

Liberian girl - hypnotizing, beutiful - (don´t like the video though)

I just can´t stop loving you - what a beautiful melody
Another part of me - I love drums on it and that live version of it for video - great

Smooth Criminal - good song, but THAT VIDEO, you´re still like this eek watching it

Dirty Diana - classic

The way you make me feel - I looooove the Grammy 88 version with that slow beginning - what a performance pitty it´s not like that also on the album.

Fly away - this is not a track off the album, you can find it only on the special edition, but it´s just beautifully refreshing song.
"When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

Absolutely. I'm tired of seeing that album getting trashed (mostly by his younger fans who need videos to fully enjoy a song), it contains some of his best ever work.

Ellie and co will likely appreciate it much more as they grow up. smile

I like Invincible, as I mentioned before on this site if 2000 watts was never on there I would probably love it. That song is just annoying. But with songs like Break of Dawn, Butterflies and Heaven Can Wait, Invincible had the potential to be a great album. I hate that it gets slammed so much as well.

I like 2000 Watts. razz

But still, your comments make you worthy of a kisses

I like the "Bad" album. Now I think "Dangerous" was ten times better. However, you can't deny "Bad" had its moments. "Smooth Criminal" is a classic Michael song. (And I remember reading that Q didn't really want the song on the album, which is one of the reasons that lead to them parting ways.) I have to say, as much credit as Q deserves for Michael's music, I think at times people go overboard with credit for Q. If Q had his way "Bad" would have probably not included Smooth Criminal. (Which would have been a mistake. razz)

If you want to claim "Bad" is all cheese and not a great album, I think I could find something to put up against your claim. Let me offer you this.

Smooth Criminal and The Way You Make Me Feel are 2 of the most downloaded songs on iTunes these days.

I love those tracks along with Speed Demon, Just Good Friends, Man In The Mirror, Dirty Diana, and the title track. Another Part of Me is also AMAZING! smile Same with the B-sides, Streetwalker and Fly Away.

At best, "Bad" is a great album and only knocked because it had the impossible job of following up "Thriller."

At worst, it had moments where it seemed like it was trying to re-create "Thriller" moments with the songwriting. (Which most Michael fans will tell you, Michael has tried to re-create "Thriller" moments at times. Hello Threatened on "Invincible!")

And as far as the Bad music video..I thought Michael looked cool in it! biggrin

Are you that stupid to not realize "Dirty Diana" wasn't on there until *after* you bought it?

Ever hear of scanning the tracklisting of an album before you buy it?

What will they think of next, huh? biggrin

BTW, HIStory was a fucking amazing piece of work. Brutally ahead of it's time and his most autobiographical record to date.

"Scream", "Earth Song", "They Don't Care About Us", and "Stranger In Moscow" make the album worth the price of admission alone.

I agree. It's my favorite MJ album, with Thriller being a very close second. But I can also see why other people don't like it, with the Nintendo sounding beats and that fact that it's aged terribly.
