"Minneapolis sound" Who else than Prince do you think of when you hear the expression "Minneapolis sound", and what songs?
For me, it`s Cherrelle and Alexander O`Neal with "Saturday love"

Minneapolis! There are about a million Jam/Lewis songs from the mid 80s to early 90s that define this sound. Perfect pop-oriented R&B. After that time, they're hit and miss for me. They started to sound too same-same. | |
