Janet Jackson can't sing no more, she sux Until she realize she is not a kid anymore and start singing songs her age, she will continue plummeting and damaging her career. One thing about Mariah Carey, Madonna and Whitney, when they got older they started singing more their age and didn't lose a beat. But here is Janet walking n a park talking about a crush and she over 38 aproaching 40. That look tacky. I like the Janet of 1983-95 though.

Are you a child yourself? You don't speak very well to be saying someone "is not a kid anymore".

My mother died when I was five And all I did was sit and cry I cried and cried and cried all day Until the neighbors went away They couldn't take my loneliness I couldn't take their phoniness My father had to go to work I used to think he was a jerk I didn't know his heart was broken And not another word was spoken He became a shadow of The father I was dreaming of I made a vow that I would never need Another person ever Turned my heart into a cage A victim of a kind of rage - Madonna, "Mother and Father" (from American Life) 'Nuff said.

Quit hating.Janet's music is no different then what Mariah and Madonna are doing. have you heard the Velvet Rope ? she talks about loneliness, depression and alot of other things which are very real adult situations . The All for you Cd was a little popish but it still had some mature materail on there your friend betraying you .cheating. and wanting better days.Even on the Damita Jo there's some mature songs RnB Junkie ,Island life, and thinking about my ex.Janet writes about what's going on in her life and I think that after she divorced Rene she was really happy and that made her feel like a kid again there's nothing wrong with that and I think she's really in love with Jd and that showed in Dj ( your never to old to experience love). What do you expect her to write about? . Now Mariah on the other is near 40 and watches mean girls and makes her firends play dress up not to metion she named her Cd the Emanpation of Mimi ( like the cd always thought the title was strange).by the way she's doing exactly what you said Janet is doing in don't forget about us. she's walking down the beach and singing about a crush so what's the difference.

It's not an age issue with me, but since "Janet" every album since has been downhill and lost my interest more and more. Hopefully her next album will bring it up a notch.

But Some of Mariah Carey's material sounds like teenybopper music. She gets away with it because she's a great singer. By trying to bring back 70's Disco with "Hung Up" Madonna is showing too much of her age. And she looked funny in the video making out with dudes who looked young enough to be her sons. Whitney hasn't had a good album since the Bodyguard soundtrack. Although I did like "My Love Is Your Love" from the best of cd. One more thing. Why can't a woman or man in their late 30's or over have a crush? What's wrong with that?

Mariah and Whitney are probably bigger offenders in the immaturity department than Janet, but surely one would be able to recognize just how crass and unimaginative Janet's sexualized music is as of late..

I agree to the 9's I agree with both of y'all and I love Janet. I will say I liked "The Velvet Rope" but I hope Janet doesn't sing about sex so much on this next CD. I'm soooo tired of it. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that
