Yeah, it is. Probably my favorite of theirs. Great, minimalist production.

There has been one line from that song that has always confused me cause Terri sings it so garbled, though I know what it says now

" And you were sitting there swimming in a pile of jizz " is how I heard it at first.

" And you were sitting there swimming in apologies. " is of course the correct lyric.

Hey, that my story and I'm sticking it to you. thumbs up!

They killed me with the Bands Reunited version, they sounded great.

Also can't forget 'No More Words'.

Have to admit that I do have a weak spot for 'Take My Breath Away'. That synth line is so sexy, and so is the bassline.

Yet another one of my Fave Bands. If you havent heard them in awhile U should pick up their Latest stuff, the Live CD Sacred and Profane, also their 2002 CD VOYEUR amazing Record, the track SACRED AND PROFANE is about Michael Hutchence, also there are 2 EP's that Berlin put out in the Late 90's only through their Web site and of course last years 4PLAY a collection of covers and a few originals the BANDS REUNITED version of No More Words. U should also check out JOHN CRAWFORD Berlins founder and writer of most of their music up until they broke up in 1989. He has a solo cd out now only through his Website, good stuff, very 80's New Wavey kind of sounding, kind of what these Bands today try to be like.

U know i wish I knew why somebody Like Terri Nunn is never mentioned in terms of a Female Vocalist. I easily rank her as one of the best Female Voices, i saw her recently in concert and she is amazing, alot of energy, but vocally she is perfect. Also I spoke to John Crawford, even though he is not in Berlin anymore, since the Bands reunited he has kept pretty close touch with all the members and he has resumed his friendship with Teri, i asked him some questions about the old days and asked why Berlin wasnt "bigger" . He mainly said HE let the label step in and dictate what the Band was going to sound like, the idea was to Berlin more POP/ROCK, it was the labels idea to fire keyboard players, but JOHN does blame himself for letting them do it, thats mainly why he walked away, and then Teri walked away, but she decided to take the name back and start again.

I love the 4Play cd, also I loved the VOYEUR cd and the Live one too. If u havent U should also pick up the Live DVD that they put out too. I hope they do get a new CD out this year, I think they will, they did play some new songs in concert when i saw them and spoke off working on a new cd for 2006.

Shit, that's about the only song I just can't stand from them. It soooo doesn't fit their style. Definitely the point where they jumped the shark.

I love "Take My Breath Away" but you are correct. It was nothing like any pf the songs which they had done before, and it was syrupy schmaltz compared to their usual edgy sound and lyrics. They did jump the shark with this song, and it was one of the deciding factors which led John Crawford to leave the band.

BTW, I was in my teens when Berlin came out, and I have to admit that in my adolescent phase, I had quite a few erotic dreams about Terri Nunn. She was hot. drooling sexy It wasn't until much later on that I found out that she did a nude layout for Penthouse prior to her joining Berlin (even though she was underage at the time). She still looks really good now, and she has aged quite gracefully.
