I think there was Champion Sound and 12 Inches of Snow, which may have been a light exaggeration on the young man's part.

Did Sade's first album include the song "Smooth Operator?" Because, that song is one of the best songs ever recorded in my book. So I doubt any follow up could top that, unless it included that song on it.

As for Terrance, I never got into his music that much. I dig his song "Right Thing, Wrong Way." But his debut album is pretty good, eh? If so, I might check it out.

Yes, it includes "Smooth operator" and even "Your love is king" and "Hang on to your love" An amazing album, and i agree with you, smooth operator is brilliant nod

You really should check out TTD`s debut, if only for the songs "If you let me stay" and "Who`s lovin` you"

Taken from an amazon review:
"...TTD proclaimed that it was the best solo album by a male artist in 20 years.Bragging that it was superior to "Sgt. Pepper Lonely Hearts Band" and comparing himself to the Purple One and Sam Cooke. The funny thing is that he was RIGHT.This is one egomanaic who knew what he was talking about! "Introducing The Hardline According To Terence Trent D'Arby" is a genius album..."

Preach on! And a great debut album "Off The Wall" was. However, it was not his best. Dangerous or HIStory (Disc 2) were IMO.

LOL! Jeez it was 1971, so he was about 12 when he recorded it and it includes some fine tracks like "Got To Be There", "I Wanna Be Where You Are", and "Maria (You Were The Only One)".

The song "Ben" was on the second solo MJ album (titled Ben).

Off The Wall was his best album, but that's WAY FAR from anything "first" for Michael. First solo jawn on Epic Records is about all you could say.

Lenny Kravitz
Carole King
Elvis Costello (debatable)
TTD
Sex Pistols
Jimi Hendrix
Elvis Presley--The Sun Sessions

These might not quite count:
John Lennon--Plastic Ono Band
George Harrison--All Things Must Pass, John & George's first proper solo albums, but not actually their first.
Lou Reed
Sting

"Introducing..." is a very good album, but TTD's /Sananda's other albums are amazing and I prefer all of them to his debut. Vibrator still is my favourite album by any artist, Wildcard is a brilliant record and Symphony Or Damn and Neither Fish Or Flesh are great albums as well worship
With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be! And if, then I hope that I would then have wen in my environment who joins me in the A....
