did any ep's or anything come out for this album that sound like the music from this album? I really love the music part of this album.. the glip pop sound.. very cool stuff.. I want more from this era.. anything worth getting?

A number of the B-sides of the singles that were released have the same feeling and are sometimes remixed/demo's/new instrumentals- try looking on Amazon etc.

her voice accompanied by all them girls (where were they from again) brings me so much aural pleasure.

equal to the combination of hearing prince's voice backed by wendy and lisa.

all of these songs are very interesting and worthwhile although i
have to say the instrumentals are not exactly Vespertine like, in
as much that they sound more like a transition between Homogenic,
Selmasongs and Vespertine.

there's also a b-side called "Amphibian" from a Vespertine single
although I don't have that one yet (only heard a very short remix
so wouldn't be able to tell if it's instrumental or not).

and personally I always include "It's in Our Hands" on playlists
of Vespertine songs as well cause it really fits there.

the closest thing to a Vespertine instrumental, to me, is "Ambergris March"
on the Darwing Restraint # 9 album, which is like a more developed version
of "Frosti".

The arrangements on the album were apparently done by a Californian IDM / experimental electronic duo called MATMOS. They are one of my personal favourite acts ever, and I'd highly recommend you'd try to find their album "A Chance To Cut Is A Chance To Cure" in your hands. It's pure genius.

Wasn't Amphibian originally on the Being John Malkovich cd? I believe there were two versions ~ the opening and closing songs with the closing one being much longer.
Here is a notice from Bjork.com regarding a recent concert Bjork performed along with Sigur Ros and others (I would have adored to be there!!!!) in support of protests of the destruction of Icelandic Highlands.

Reykjavík sees tonight Björk play a sold out concert, which highlights the destruction of Icelandic nature. She is not alone at the concert as Sigur Rós, Damon Albarn, Ego, Mugison, múm, Hjálmar, Ghostigital, Rass, Ham, Magga Stína and many more take to the stage to protest. The concert is well sold out, and the mood is exciting in Reykjavík.

The Concert will be available next week, for webviewing, but until then we have an active photoblog from the concert site www.damnation.tv which should carry photos from the event.

"Amphibian" is indeed from 1999, and I think it is a nice transition between Homogenic and Vespertine.

"Prayer of the Heart" is an amazing opus that fits most with Vespertine as well, although recorded later.

Thank you Moonbeam for the reminder of this work ~ it is very profound and time for another listen. It is Bjork as you've never heard her.

Just a couple more pieces of information on Prayer of the Heart ~ it is 15 minutes 17 seconds and there is a recorded heartbeat (barely perceptible) running through it to "create a heightened and profound sense of intimacy".
