Around the time of Rave or slightly after there was a blib
about how Prince would really like to work with Sade.

can't remember if it was one of his answers to the weekly
questions or wether it was just a quote or something.

but she was mentioned on his official site and they did
praise her.

I remember reading an interview where she was asked why she hasn't collaborated with other artists. I believe her response was something to the effect of she "enjoys the comfort and familiarity" of her band.

This is understandable, but a little disappointing to me. I've always dreamed of one day working with her. I've made all sorts of plans. Now I'm going to have to resort to drastic measures. I've got my rope and duct dape ready to go... evilking

A curse on anyone who mentions those two names together! I'd NEVER want to hear Prince produce a song for Sade. Her music comes from a different place and Prince would "princeify" the song and it would end up like so many of his protogee's material...fluffy and meaningless. Sade's expression comes from her life experiences and flows well from her. Prince would end up tainting that somehow.

btw, who the hell is Sada?

I think they would've been great together sometime in '86/'87.

Hehe, nice idea, but I think I'd go with the traditional method...

I agree with Blaque Knight. Prince would end up watering down Sade's sound and make her lose her magic. Now, Sade and Maxwell might be a better combo.
