But it differs from issue to issue internationally. Some of the European issues of Playboy don't have vagina shots (depending on the country)...I think it's because there are so many other outlets for the hardcore sex stuff here, so there's not a big market for Playboy to have the girls "spread eagle" in its' pages here; it would be so PASSE, lol! In germany they even go so far as to have FASHION editorial in their Playboy...and unfortunately for the nude pictorals they almost always (and idiotically) base one of them on whatever the blockbuster American or British movie is of the year, so you end up with very un-sexy pictorals modeled after films like James Bond or Moulin Rouge....which kinda makes me think...what the heck are they gonna do now that the hit of the year is "Brokeback Mountain",LOL  | |

As far as her doing the spread I think her timing is more sad than the actual act. It's not like she's @ the top of her game here - she's a little older, selling fewer wrekkids (despite Libra being a very solid album), less visible overall. It FEELS like a desperate move. I suppose it always is in a sense but hell, I just want better for her. But let's not kid, she's been doing the near nude shit for years  If I had that body I'd be rockin' crazy shit too so I've never held the outfits against her. It's the timing of the photospread that makes it kinda sad...
 I think it's either because I live in Europe or I'm jaded after being in fashion for years, but I think the bathing suit/lingerie photos are pretty, and very tastefully shot considering she's not the standard "model" height and size a la Giselle Bundchen or Heidi Klum that is typically used for this. The only thing that rubbed me the wrong way in these pics was her red carpet photo in that horrible white ensemble. The fit was all wrong for her and rather than accentuate her assets, it just draws attention to the body in an unflattering way. I remember when she wore this dress; it was right on the heels of Jennifer Lopez's legendary appearance on MTV in the infamous Versace dress---mind you an appearance that was VERY orchestrated...right down to the electric stage fans that had the dress billowing in manufactured wind, while she stood with perfect posture and had zillions of photogs snapping and being bylined the next day in the rags as the new "Venus Di Milo", . Oddly, when Toni showed up a few months later in that white dress, it just didn't work...it reminded me of that damned Rose Magowan red carpet stunt with Marilyn Manson some time back  | |
