MADONNA is being secretly lined up as the star performer at next year’s Brit Awards.
The Queen Of Pop has been in talks with organisers and is determined to put on a show-stopping performance.

It will be the first time in ten years that she has appeared at Britain’s pop Oscars.

Madonna is riding high following the huge success of comeback album Confessions On A Dance Floor. It has been No1 all over the world, as has first single Hung Up.

Madge is expected to perform new single, Sorry, at the Brits at London’s Earls Court on February 15.

She will go head-to-head with MARIAH CAREY for the International Female gong — and is also likely to be up for Best International Album

I hate to say this,but screw America.This is the country in which a song like "My Humps" is considered "hit" material Besides,Maddy already sold over a million copies here.Don't get me wrong,I would love to see her come back here and do more television appearances,but I don't think she needs to be obsessed with promoting the CD in the States.The album has found it's audience (over 4 million copies sold worldwide) and that's really all that matters.

Does any1 actually think that Madonna stays up a nights stressing over how many units she moved this week?

Amen. I don't see why her success should be measured by how she performs in the States or not. She's still ruling the World charts as we speak and to me, it's much more of an accomplishment than Billboard.

Someone like Mary J Blige debuts with 700K in the states and debuts at #48 in Canada. Don't get me wrong, i like her but it shows you that States is infused by a one sided muscial climate.

It's strange how Canada's MuchMusic plays all the same stuff as they do in the States yet you never see any of it chart high on the Canadian charts.

Mary should have debuted higher, I honestly don't get how it charted that low.

I just think Madonna should be measured on the international scale considering her music and image don't exactly fit with the US market. Of course no matter what, Billboard will ultimately have the deciding factor as to what's a hit or not. Shame.
