Speaking of Janet, i`m really dissapointed that she was couldn`t portray Lena Horne, she could have pulled it off, and i would have loved to hear her singing "Stormy weather"

My All-Time List.....

1. Sheena Easton (probably the most versitile female pop vocalist in terms of style).
2. Mariah Carey (incredible range)
3. Laura Branigan (was so under-rated as a singer. Powerful voice! I miss her).
4. Teena Marie
5. Melissa Manchester

Lena Horne is another favorite. I guess you all know her "Stormy weather",
but her 70s music is really great. If you find this cd, get it!!

She had a nice voice, but she was bred as a "pop" version of Donna Summer. Donna has a better range.

Oh, she used to look good. About 25 years ago, before she fucked herself up with all the surgery and doesn't even look anything like herself anymore.

omg I didn't either. I bet she's kicking herself now when she looks at her old photos. She was really pretty back then.

I have too many favorite female vocalists to pick just one. I hate having a number 1.....because one day that person might be my #1 and then the next it'll be someone else.

nod I love "Hit and run", the 11(!) minutes long remix dancing jig

Julie London

nod Good choice. Julie London was pure sophistication. Some of her songs may be a little too slow, but she was a brilliant songstylist.
