Jermaine Jackson is the bomb!

I got his self titled cd recently and that shit rocks! It's very new wave and I love tell me i'm not dreaming feat. Jacko also Dymanite is the bollocks. Anyone else agree??

Also, he was rocking those jackets that the Strokes wear now back in the 80's!

I like Jermaine a lot!

I have not seen many people that can play tight funky bass with syncopes etc and still at the same time manage to sing lead vocals and do fairly advanced choreography like he did already at an early age in J5.

However I prefer his old soulful Motownsound more than his Aristaworks. I don't think he stayed true to himself when he started do more pop in the mid 80's.

I think Jermaine got too cheesy in the mid 80's. Watch these videos and you may understand what I mean.

I love the song "Don't take it personal" though.

I also recently got his self titled from 84. It only cost $6.00. I love the self pinned song Come to Me (One Way or Another), Escape from the Planet of the Ant Men featuring tito and Randy on background vocals. All the singles are on point also.

Jermaine has always been my favorite Jackson, (I swear I was gonna marry him when I was 13 lol ) I still have his first solo album on vinyl. I love his voice and his bass playing.

His version of Bridge Over Troubled Water is still my favorite.
Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

I mean, Jermaine was a pretty big artist, not on Mike or Janet's level of course. He was a bigger star then Morris Day, I would say. Jermaine was right in the middle, You have Mike, Prince like status, then Jermaine, Morris Day, Steve Arrington ect, the your Colinal Adams and Lilo Thomas.

Jermiaine had some pretty decent sales and some hits.

Jermaine has sold over 20 million in the worldwide.

Imagine if Arista would have put put out Tell Me (I'm Not Dreamin') in 84. It would have been a number one hit on both charts. Thingsmight have been different for Jermaine's career.

Yeah I agree and it's a bit ironic isn't it? Because I also think that because of Michael there never was room for antother male Jackson. No matter how talented Jermaine is he never could compete with Michael...

his best album is precious moments. Dancerella, get that too. "Do u remember me" is the shit, as is "i think its love" and "i hear heartbeat" and the more soulful "give a little love". Cant get a more mid 80's sounding album then that one. Michael Omartian was on fire.

"lonely wont leave me alone" is so lame compared to Glenn medeiros' cover though. Glenns voice sounded so much more passionate then jermaines, delivery more confident. I love jermaines voice, but glenn's is so much better on this one.
