Any music I don't have (or haven't heard) and acquire is "NEW" music to me.
Whether it was made in the '30s or 30 seconds ago. wink

I got a $25 gift certificate from Best Buy and didn't see anything I wanted in the store. It was like shopping for music in Walmart. The clerk told me I could order online so I'm thinking about ordering Dr. Fink's album, which I saw on the site.

Strangely enough, my local Best Buy used to have 2 full racks (both sides) of well stocked Jazz CDs that over the last 2 years they've let die on the vine.

It's now down to a quarter rack (one side) of mostly snooze jazz. confused

I know what you mean. I don't know too much about jazz but, when it comes to R&B, the place I have had the most luck is Circuit City of all places. They have their R&B in a completely separate section, where most places have it mixed in with pop/rock. I start my way in the "A" section and browse all the way through to the "Z" section. Lately though, the R&B section has become smaller and smaller and the rap section has expanded. I asked them about it and they said they eliminated a lot of the older stuff (of all genres) to make more room in the store for the newer artists. You see which section grew don't you? lol

We'll have to fix that situation. whistling

My brother even went to the store and copped this (that's all Best Buy had confused )...

...to bolster a discussion he was having with my son (Rakim vs Common).

My son held his own on Common's behalf for a minute but my brother is like Spockx1000.
