Cyndi Lauper headed to Broadway

Cyndi Lauper signed the contract today to appear in Roundabout Theatre Company's revival of "Threepenny Opera" at Studio 54 in March 2006. She will be playing the role that was supposed to be played by Edie Falco, who withdrew from the cast last week. The revival of this musical also stars Alan Cumming, Ana Gasteyer, Jim Dale and Nellie McKay.

Anyway, I can tell thats right up her alley. I don't know why tho lol considering that I haven't seen her in a stage play or a musical.

I can sense that she might do well in that field, hope so anyway.

And let's all thank God for that. Otherwise it might be Cyndi singing Hollaback Girl or It's like th-th-th-th-th-th-th-that ya'll instead of the real music she's making right now.
