Sylvester is hard to find in the record stores, especially in my area. I had to go to the used record store a few years ago and get a few Sylvester albums on vinyl. Now there is some Sylvester on CDs, they are just hard to find though. Go to your local record store and get them to order you some. There is a 2 CD Greatest Hits compilation that is great. It contains the long versions of the songs and even a few remixes, including the remix of "Do Ya Wanna Funk".

I've never heard this song

I have a Sylvester Greatest Hits CD,but this song is not on it.Is this one of his 80s hits?

Yes. I would have to pull my album but if I'm not mistaken, I believe it was released in 1982. I wouldn't really call it disco since disco was officially declared "dead" after 1979. The album it came from kind of has that Donna Summer "The Wanderer" sound.

I bet you have heard it and just don't know it. It was in Eddie Murphy's movie "Trading Places". The song was playing when Eddie was throwing the wild party in the mansion with all the pimps and hookers. Eddie pulled the needle across this song and told them...."Get out!".

I heard a song by Sylvester just yesterday that I don't think I'd ever heard before. It was awesome. I think it's called I Need You but not sure. There's a break where the strings actually remind of violinist, Jean Luc Ponty.
