Let's talk about MORNINGWOOD!!!! HOT NEW BAND ALERT!!!!
This is a hot new band from NYC whose song 'Nth Degree' I simply can't get enough of. I've heard it played at few bars here in LA..in particular the Faultline in HollyHood.... They are a female fronted band with former members of Cibo Mato and Wallflowers. Their sound is Rock-meets-Disco-meets-Pop.....they will get the Blondie/Garbage comparisons but that isn't really what they are like. The lead singer is insane and if any of you late-90's peeps remember a group called Republica...they remind me more of them....but quirkier! You cant deny it's catch though! They're song 'Jetsetter' was the one I was also thinking of....I saw them on Jimmy Kimmel couple weeks ago and her stage presence was amazing...very crazy chick! Every minute of last night is on my face today.... | |
