Madonna confirms a world tour in 2006 During her co-hosting stint on Radio 1 yesterday,Madonna announced that she will shoot the new video for her single "Sorry" in January,and said the rumors about a summer 2006 world tour are true.Rehearsals begin in late February,and she will play a mix of small and big venues.
Madonna fans...what type of tour would you like to see? A Greatest Hits tour? A dance music tour focused only on her dance hits? A combination of both? Looks like 2006 will be an exciting year for concerts,as Prince is planning a tour too.Better start saving your money now! | |

Last year,Prince played in my city only a few days before Madonna arrived.It was insane.Imagine if MJ had toured in 2004 too (lol),80s pop music fans would have went nuts. Madonna should call her tour 'Watch Me Burn' Tour 2006

why the hell does she never tour at the launch of the album? she always waits till summer...she'd get a hell of a lot more mileage out of a tour, record sales wise, if she had her ass out on the road right now. she's such a good business woman but she never got that concept. she seems to wait until the album is dead (erotica, music, american life) and then hits the road. Nothing would make me happier than 2 see Madonna live again, but I never get my hopes up when she starts saying "Tour next Summer" in interviews and press conferences. We've been down this road 2 many times before. I'll get more excited when I see dates and rehearsals. Excatly. Janet was pretty damn sure she was going to tour for "Damita Jo" and that didn't happen but then again, this is a bigger album. Should we speculate or not? I'm damn sure she'll do the bulk of the album (probably cut out a song or too and hopefully something forgetable like "How High"). I'm damn near sure she'll do "Music", "Ray Of Light" and "Everybody". | |

The was no tour right after American Life because of the political environment in the US at the time and she wanted to use the Anti-War statements as a centerpiece and she was afaird for her carear and her children. after the tide started to change she deemed it was safe to tour. once again not to interfere with her children's life. i don't want to see madonna in a small venue. to be honest, i don't go for the intimacy or to hear her sing; i go to a madonna concert for the spectacle.
leave the intimate shows to artists like prince, bowie, and u2 (if they ever decide to do a small club tour). | |

I'll believe this when I see her name on the Ticketmaster website with "Dates scheduled" written underneath.
I feel like we've been at this point in Madonna's career before... 1994 with Bedtime Stories 1998 with Ray of Light. We'll probably get some god-awful movie instead. I'm the first mammal to wear pants. | |
