this is sad.... dont go bashing her yet until you know the full story, its just sad to see such a big fan of someone turn like this. we dont even know if the story is true (although i guess why would anyone make something like that up) but still give it more thought, im a big believer in knowing the full story before judging so stay open minded and maybe do a little more research on the subject.

First of all, you don´t know whether there´s any truth in that rumor.
Second thing, a lot of celebreties say bullshit sometimes and what they do or say should be taken with a grain of salt, whether it´s Prince, Public Enemy, Badu, Elvis Presley, Bob Marley, Snoop, Eminem, Liam Gallagher or whoever, they´re all just human beings and things often get blown out of proportion.

Prince, Dali, Picasso, KRS 1, Chuck D &PE, many of my favorite artists have said and done controversial, offensive things, but I still like their art.

This is the first I'm hearing of this and yet I'm not excited either way. If she said it, I'm disappointed and it's unfortunate. If she didn't say it, I hope it gets cleared up and whoever tried to slander her will get theirs. Either way, I go on with my day as planned. No need for me to start working on I Erykah or I Hate Erykah.

Considering your screenname is badujunkie you should be the first to know the answer.
The statement by her lawyer is the same that was printed in the Observer. Other people in the letters to the editor section of the Observer ( for instance a white guy who´s 33) also say that Ms. Badu never said those words.
